The Envision™ Gas Analyzer Package
The Envision™ gas meter is a unique field instrument utilized primarily for the measurement of CH4, CO2, O2, pressures and temperatures within landfill gas and bio-gas collection systems. The Envision™ gas analyzer package is comprised of two components:
Trimble® Handheld Computer
The first component is a highly ruggedized field computer from Trimble®. The Trimble® series handhelds are all-in-one field computers for GIS data collection and mobile GIS applications, combining a handheld computer powered by the Windows Mobile® version 6 operating system with the Elkins Earthworks™ Gas Analyzer software. The Trimble® series handhelds connect to the Envision™ via Bluetooth® or via serial cable. The Trimble® series handhelds come standard with Bluetooth® and 802.11. Optional features may also be selected such as GPS, barcode scanner and internal camera. The Trimble® field computer utilizes the Elkins Earthworks™ Gas Analyzer proprietary software to operate the Envision™ gas analyzer.

The Envision™ (Gas Analyzer Unit)
The Envision™ gas analyzer houses all of the gas and pressure sensors. The gas analyzer utilizes Infrared sensors to measure CH4 and CO2. The Envision™ also uses an electrochemical cell to measure O2 concentrations and utilizes an accurate thermistor temperature probe to measure wellhead gas temperatures. Data generate by the Envision™ gas analyzer is relayed to the Trimble® via Bluetooth® or serial cable.
The Envision™ gas analyzer is anticipated to be released for shipping in late October 2008.

The Envision™ analyzer and Trimble field computers will have a certain number of accessories included in the standard package. These packaged accessories are included in the units’ description on the product store.
2) The other tabs in the web site catalog contain the Envision™. Trimble® Nomad™, Trimble® Recon® handheld computers and other accessories. If desired, you can choose additional handheld computers or accessories from the catalog pages to supplement your Envision™ package.
